Key terms used across our docs, dashboard, and support.
- Automation
- A workflow that runs without manual steps—e.g. when a form is submitted, a lead is added to your CRM and a welcome email is sent automatically.
- Workflow
- A sequence of steps (triggers, actions, conditions) that Click to Automate runs. Examples: lead nurture, onboarding, support routing.
- Trigger
- An event that starts a workflow, such as a form submission, new CRM record, or webhook from another system.
- CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
- Software that stores leads, contacts, and deal data. Click to Automate connects to CRMs to sync and update records automatically.
- Lead
- A potential customer identified by a form fill, signup, or other touchpoint. Leads are often synced to a CRM and nurtured with automated emails.
- Webhook
- An HTTP callback that sends data from one system to another when an event occurs. Used to connect Click to Automate with external tools and APIs.
- API (Application Programming Interface)
- A way for your software or scripts to talk to Click to Automate programmatically—e.g. to create leads, run workflows, or fetch data.
- Integration
- A connection between Click to Automate and another service (CRM, email, forms, sheets) so data and events flow between them.
- Nurture sequence
- A series of automated emails or actions sent to leads over time based on their behavior or stage, to move them toward a sale or goal.
- Pipeline
- The stages a lead or deal moves through (e.g. New → Qualified → Proposal → Closed). Automation can update pipeline stage based on actions or rules.
